What Is Notice Period?

A notice period is the period that both an employee and an employer should provide when they are terminating a contract of employment. It enables both sides to make the required preparations; employers can find substitutes, and employees can easily make the transition. The duration of notice among organizations and types of employment is also subject to change, taking two weeks to three months. Observance of the notice period guarantees professionalism, sustenance of relationships and continuity of operations in the workplace.
