HR analytics is the approach that concentrates on gathering, examining, and interpreting workforce data that can maximize HR processes such as recruiting, training, and retaining. HR analytics, unlike people analytics, is specific to HR, as it aims at efficiency in processes and decision-making. It quantifies some of the important indicators like attrition rate, time-to-hire, and employee performance.

Through HR analytics, companies are able to see where the work is choked and optimize workforce planning and alignment of HR strategy with organizational objectives. More and more companies are turning to HR analytics as a means of promoting evidence-based HR practices and workforce success.
